email groups

The email BPG-Post and BPG-Talk are administrated by Bristol Permaculture Group. We use a free service from Yahoo! called "Yahoo! Groups". Each of the groups have a page which describes the groups and allows members access to the group's archives. You can join either of these groups by going to their groups page and clicking join or by sending an email.

Yahoo ID's

If you decide to join the group via the home page and you don't have a "Yahoo! ID" you will have to fill in some forms to get one. If you want to avoid having to get a Yahoo! ID and all the stuff that goes with it, then subcribe directly by email, but you won't be able to access all the groups features.

If you have joined the a Yahoo! Group before using this method or you use Yahoo!'s email service then you will automatically have a Yahoo! ID and you will just have to type your normal user name and password.

This can all be a bit complicated, but the page on Yahoo!'s website should sort you out.

BPG-post

To join this group go to the BPG-Post's page or automatically subscribe by email by posting anything to BPG-Post-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

Once you have joined you will get regular announcements about BPG events and other fun stuff which I am too lazy to type out.

Only select moderators can post to this group. If you want to become a moderator, then contact this guy. You will need a non-HoTMaiL email account.

If you have something you want to post on this group then ask at BPG-Talk, or post it straight to a moderator.

BPG-talk

To join this group go to the BPG-Talk's page or automatically subscribe by email by posting anything to BPG-Talk-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

Once you have joined you can send mails to BPG-Talk@yahoogroups.com and they will go to all members of this group.
